Default WOW-20 inches of powder

This may have been the biggest storm I have seen here so far 20+ inches outside my house and drifts up to 4-5 feet. Whooooa! What a way to start Christmas Break-My question to you, how are you enjoying the white days of Christmas? I for one am baking bread, making hearty soups, and getting a workout in shoveling snow!

Shoveling snow is fun! I know....crazy huh? But I like it. Although my back doesn't like it quite as much the day after. I enjoy sitting by the fire and reading a good book. Or watching Christmas movies on the Halmark channel. How can you beat that?

I enjoy shoveling as well. I hung out at the parking lot after the parking ban was lifted just to get my fill of shoveling yesterday. My back is letting me know that it doesn't appreciate it today.

No shoveling here.

Just driving the new tractor around.

We were gone for the storm [down South in Ct], arrived home to see one and a half feet of powder everywhere.

^That's fun too. We have a plow for the ATVs in Bethel that's a blast as well.

How was the snow in CT? My family got hammered in S.E. Massachusetts, but the bulk of their snow came on Thurs. and Friday... only an additional 3 inches on Sun-Mon.

We haven't been out much today-- there was a 1/2 day of school here, and the 15 yo and the 10 yo have been making gingerbread houses this afternoon. We've had a ball, but now I've got to make more chocolates--I'd be happy with a good book and the fire right now!

We would have enjoyed it had we been home but instead we were stranded at the Hampton Inn in S. Portland, trying to get flight information back to Appleton. It was a considerable challenge but we did get back out here late last night, more than 24 hours later than originally scheduled.

It sure was pretty though

The snow in Ct was white.

Actually we were surprised by it. The freeway was fine, but leaving the freeway, we found that most side streets had not been plowed, and there was a great deal of black ice.

We drove by a number of vehicle accidents.

SUVs spun out in snow banks, etc.

We had no problems though.
