Does anyone know if there's a live feed or webcam on the Eastport New Year's Eve Sardine Drop?

Don't have an answer, but it's a great idea. Maybe if it's not set up yet someone can work on it!!

I don't think they do. It would be a cool thing seeing as I've never made it to one. I'll have to talk to Hugh about it. See if he'll do it.

While you wait to find out, you can see a previous sardine drop on YouTube:

I have asked and the answer is no, there is no webcam for the drop. All I can tell you is what was told to me: "Tell them to come to Eastport." Sounds like a pretty good idea to me except for those out of driving distance.

I would imagine (and hope) that someone would video it and put it on youtube again. However, now that the bug has been put in Hughs' ear maybe next year. Who knows.

Yes, there are many of us would willingly come to Eastport for the New Years, except for the distance (1650 for me). I will be there in spirit, but alas, not in body. My house is buttoned up for the wintah, and I won't make it until spring or early summah. Alas, the last webcam in Eastport was with Spinnaker realty, and I miss it since it was taken down.

My holidays sucked. The weather is going to get harsh again. I just don't have the energy to travel to Eastport..especially when I know that any trip I make up that way will HAVE to be spent with family for a long overdue visit. I have a new grand-nephew, dontcha know.
I was hoping to play couch potato with my honey and a bottle of something.
Plan B.
