Lobster season runs all year I believe. There are quite a few places that ship them out too. You just pick the season you would like to sit on a picnic table cracking shells. LOL Try this website: The World's Finest Lobster Comes from Maine Guarenteed to give more info than you ever wanted to know. I don't know of any all you can eat places for lobster.

Default Lmao!

All you can eat lobster places? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

Too funny. I'm not quite sure how many of those places would stay in business for too long. I've seen guys sit down and eat as many as 10 at a time.

That's hysterical and yes, I'm pretty sure the season is STILL year round.

The shedahs start in early July. Wait til the middle of July and the new shell lobstas will be all over the place.
It's all you can eat for as long as you can pay.

Anytime really. I would suggest October through April, though. You will not have the hordes of tourist to deal with and most restaurants could use your patronage this time of the year. Lobsters are cheaper during the summer, though.

Lobsters are fished year-round. The typical lobsterman goes out in the spring, summer and fall while the guys from Monhegan take care of the winter fishing.

There is not much meat in a lobster, really, so it would be too easy to consume many lobsters in a sitting. I can't think of one restaurant that would be able to afford this unless they charged like $80 or more. And pound for pound, picked lobster meat costs 4 or 5x's more than a whole lobster. It just would not be economically feasible.

^ the Nordic lodge in rhode island is the only place I've ever been that serves all you can eat lobster (as well as steak and other fresh seafood) that's actually fresh (they pull it live from giant tanks in the restaurant and cook it in front of you). It cost $70 per person just to get in the door; drinks (even non-alcoholic ones) cost extra.
