I toodled up Rt 1 out of Robbinston yesterday trying to find Calais. It does look a great deal like the "end of the world" as Mom calls Maine! Maybe we won't take her that way when she comes to visit us in March! I keep telling her, "It's not the end of the world, Mom!" It would be very hard to make my case that way!!

I've seen T-Shirts in Eastport that say, "It's not the end of the world - but you can see it from here!"

Go the Google dot com and click on Maps. Find the place you want and then drag the little person (above the zoom) to the address you want and start your walk from there.

I can see my bldg down here from the street, it's cool that you can rotate the view 360 degrees, not so cool that you can't see the beach!

I can't find any of my former houses in Maine. Topsham, Bowdoin or any in Harpswell and of course nothing on IAH. (which is good)

If you want to see the ends of the earth, try where we live now. We're moving to Maine to get back to civilization. When people ask me where we live, I tell them, "You know that dark you see on the horizon at sundown? We're about a hundred miles beyond that." Another on is, "What's it near?" The answer is "Mexico."

When we get the address of the house on the river, we can peek at that! They do have street level for River Rd, so I hope it shows.
