Default Wedding at a Lake or Mountain
My fiancee and myself are trying to find a location in the new england area either near mountains or a lake that have both beautiful scenery and have cabins for friends and family to stay at together. I love the idea of a two day event with big groups of people able to be in different cabins. If anyone has any suggestions or experiences please let me know. Thanks to all.

I have not been here in years, but did spend two summers there when my husband was working in that area.
Its a beautiful spot and you might to check into it. They have rental cabins and a campground.

I think the most beautiful place you could do it in New England (for Mountain scenery anyway) is at the Mount Washington Hotel in neighboring New Hampshire-- town of Bretton Woods. The Image on the website's home page says it all, but Autumn may even be prettier: Mount Washington Resort - Bretton Woods, NH - New England's Four-Season Resort.

Sugarloaf USA in Maine plays host to MANY weddings. beautiful scenery.

You'd also have a hard time going wrong anywhere in the North Conway area of New Hampshire: North Conway NH - Official North Conway Area Guide

Neither a lake or Mountain, but ocean instead. I always throw the Black Point Inn out there for wedding ideas. it's located in Scarborough Maine and offers views of both the White Mountains (including Mt. The Blair Hill Inn hosts many weddings, the view is spectacular.
