My girls are already asking when we get to go ice-fishing. They've been seeing commercials on TV with people fishing, and they've decided they can skate out to the little hole and Daddy can bring their chairs for them! They're quite the little multi-taskers!!

I'm just wondering who is going to CLEAN the fish they're going to catch.

When we were kids we and our Mom had to form a production line of fish cleaning after a day of surf casting. #1 cut heads and gutted , #2 trimmed fins, #3 scaled, and #4 fileted. Of course #1 and #4 had to be old enough to safely handle a knife.

Only the fishing part was fun. I'd rather leave the cleaning to someone else. That's part of what makes smelt cool...less cleanin', more eatin'.
