What a great day you spent with your kids. These are the times that shape a young person. Your kids spent the day outside, engaged in physical activity with their Father. They weren't "plugged in" to a video game, tv or computer. They weren't on thier "cell" or texting. They were learning a real, hands on skill and interacting with loved ones. I admire you and the other Maine parents I see that spend time with their kids. When a parent WANTS to be with thier children, the children benefit in so many ways. Your time with them is precious and they will always remember these days. God Bless.

Well, that's what I figured, but I needed confirmation that they were profiling fishermen, too. I live on Ell Pond in Wells and it's closed because it's a "reclaimed" pond, monitored by the state.

YEP, I agree with msina!
Sounds like you had a great time!
Of course I don't care how much Jack or Quervo you have, if it doesn't come with a heater, I want NO part of it! Don't get me wrong I'll help clean em, cook em, and eat em, but not the cold part!
BTW; smart not showing your kids faces!

I disagree - this website has the law:
Ice Fishing in Maine - The Laws - Northern Maine Recreation - Maine's Internet Resource
"Daily Bag and Possession Limits for Salmon, Trout, Togue 5 fish in the aggregate, not to include more than the following from all waters open to ice fishing."
Unless I am reading it wrong - in the aggregate means total among those people fishing. 5 fish total - period. If I am reading it wrong, then someone needs to show me what the actual rules are.
It is frusterating when I go into the outdoors to hunt or fish and find nothing because other people have taken over the legal limit and decimated the population.

In Aggregate means total fish taken by the licensed fisherman regardless of species. Per person bag limit. I do believe.
