sure... such a business step, catering to "one type of person". ( I can't give that person the name I wanted to but it begins with the letter "H".)

~I suppose that would be like me opening up a catholic only coffee shop, how many others would pop over for a double double coffee?

I can't say to much about how I think this will be because .."I'd be tore down like an old House".

There used to be one of these in Portland for years at Marks Show Place. It was funny to drive by in the morning and see all the contractor trucks in the parking lot.

I'm confused by why you would think that Maine would not have the type of women that would find gainful employment at this type of establishment. I'm pretty sure that importing women wouldn't be necessary.

They actually served DD in there. It wasn't so much about the donuts!

I don't know if this still holds true but in the 90's importing from out of state was common practice at both places in Maine. BTW I didn't frequent them but knew both the owners.

Couldn't resist my 2cents on this one. I am of the opinion that when a town starts getting lots of nail/tanning/"massage" places coming in, then starts in with the "adult" (now there's an oxymoron) entertainment, it's usually a sure sign the town is going downhill fast. Why not just get the town to really be proactive about bringing in helpful businesses that don't divide the population in such an unnecessary way? Yeah, the economy sucks - but why trash a town with crud like that? Where's their morals? Ick.

I second reindeerlady. The trash usual comes in on the heels of successful business ventures that improve the economy in an area. It's unavoidable. But to start out with the trash and hope it goes uphill from there? It's not going to happen. How desperate are these people to earn a living that they have to resort to this? Or are they just opportunists who don't care how they make a buck, or who suffers for their gain?

I personally don't have a problem with it (I live in Vassalboro). I bet if they open, they'll be closed within a year. This is Vassalboro we're talking about. I just can't see people driving that far for boobs and coffee. Of course I could be underestimating our horny men.

pffffffffffffffttt It's the b**b factor!

Heard on the radio this morning: Are coffee sizes going to be A, B, C and D rather than small, medium and large?

I don't care what they do. I don't have to go in, my husband's happy with the set he has at home and I don't think it's going to last long anyway.

I agree.

There would not be any need to import females.

It has been my observation that most females in Maine have with them all of the requisite parts to serve coffee and donuts in such a business.

Are not most females in Maine pretty? [yes]

Nice smiles, happy eyes, and the confidence to go out in public without lots of makeup?

I think that the majority of ladies in Maine could [if they desired] pursue such a career move.
