I have a small 3 gallon freshwater tank that currently has a mollie and a platt in it. I plan to use them in a science fair project that will put them in a new tank. After my science fair project I want to reuse that tank to put something else in there. My problem is whenever I put a new fish in, it usually gets sucked up into the filter. I want to know how I can put a cover over the filter tube so that I can have more fish in this tank. Also what type of fish do you think I should put in there?

Thank you,
Kelsie

It is a small filter for a 3 gallon tank.
Where could I get one?

Perhaps at a pet store or the fish department of your local WalMart?

Can't quite make the Maine connection in this one -- the closest I've gotten is that one of the fish is a mollie and the Maine forum has a molly.

Perhaps future posts or requests for help could be made in the Pet forum?
