School Consolodation - Yarmouth Affected???

The greater Lincoln area will vote on January 27. We hope and pray that this state power grab will be voted down. We can pay the penalty. It will be lower than the increased costs. There are three bills in Augusta to overturn the penalty clause anyway. Our district would be about 70 miles corner to corner. By road it's much further.

NOTHING in this entire power grab helps kids!

Maja, I think that is it in a nutshell and you are getting it. However, based upon the areas you are looking at, it would be very unlikely for it to happen. It's more likey to happen in more rural towns.

It's not a right, it's a requirement. Every town involved in consolidation has to approve or reject their unit's plan.

I wouldn't consider my time wasted if this whole mess blew up in Baldnazi's face. We've done the administration work. We can see where our savings are going to come from or why we won't save money. And I'll shut up now and go back to work because I've certainly ranted about this enough already.
