Yeeess. Maybe that's the part I don't like...it hits too close to home for me. As long as no one confuses me with Tom Posten. And Tom Bosley sre didn't get his accent from "The Humble Farm-ah"
Yes! I remember the first time I saw it on CMT a few years back--I had only caught the end of it, and then I had to wait and wait to see it again to make sure. Ohhhh, the days before TIVO! I can't say the song really reminds me of Downeast, though! My thoughts on that are with Austin B and "The Reach" and there's also a George Winston piece too called "Thanksgiving" that does.

the originial question was what song reminds people of Maine - since I didn't grow up in Maine and don't have childhood or love memories related to songs - MY only memory of music with Maine is the Murder She Wrote intro - doesn't mean I think those people live there or are real - it's cool, someday over coffee we'll all laugh at the dingy statement I made
