I didn't think he was a minor. I thought I remembered you saying he was going back to college which put him at least at 19.

The closest hockey rink may be in Brewer.

There was a drama club there a few years back, started at the high school and is still involved with them, called the Magnificent Liars. The guy that started it, Michael Moody, won a Pulitzer for one of the plays he wrote, and he got several of the kids really going on theatre, working along with Stage East. Meanwhile the Magnificent Liars has grown into an acclaimed act, they even go on tour, including other members of the community theatre group.
I was involved with Stage East for years, they're the greatest people ever and I think so many kids could benefit from being a part of it. The drama club at Shead came in my senior year of high school, and since I was involved with Stage East I didn't get involved with the high school club.
As for hockey, we played plenty of floor hockey! But there are no rinks anywhere nearby...some of the kids get into the floor hockey (just running around in sneakers after a puck with sticks, the PE department is not well stocked in equipment) in the gym. Ah, memories.

there's still the skating rink at the so-called youth center. Water Comp used to flood it but none of the kids use it. I went a few times but no one was there. gets a bit boring that way.

When we were up in 2003, I was told they didn't have a drama coach.. but I'd be perfectly happy being his lackey.

HER Lackey! The club won the district and went to the state finals 3 years ago. The young man has got substance problems and maybe a little institutional attention might straighten him out. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, and the incidence of substance addiction, alcohol in this case, and depression on the reservations nationwide is criminally high.

They're working on setting up an outdoor rink at the Community College... and don't forget the rink in St Stephen!

OK, HER lackey...saw Michael Moody referenced, but I'm assuming he's handed over the reins, then.
