Default million and 1 questions about Eastport

that should cover it ...

I'm looking at a msn live map of eastport Web browser and Live Maps are incompatible

(probably need to zoom in Aerial view); but on High St & Capen Rd are a bunch of roads but it doesn't look it is developed - was the Street Department practicing road making?

walking around (with the google map) I notice that the vast majority of homes are older 2 story; older is fine, but are there any single/ ranch style homes. what is the standard lot size? are there homes with bigger lots?

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME and responses

being in MN, I can tell you a COLD COLD front is coming

Most homes in Eastport are over 100 years old and are two story, some with small lots, some with large. There are many types of homes, but two story designs are most common. I don't know about those streets neat the north end of High St.

The map shows Blakey Memorial United Methodist Church in Pembroke, but the address is 74 High St., Eastport 04666; is Pembroke part of Eastport or visa-versa?

Blakely Methodist Church is between City Hall and Mays Funeral Home on High Street in Eastport about a block from my house.

I think I'd try a different map because Capen Ave dead ends before High Street - the high school is where all those streets are on your map.

Pembroke is a separate town from Eastport. I don't know a thing about the church. Some of the natives to that area can fill in some of the questions better than I. I have seen some nice new homes in Eastport, but not down in Eastport proper. There are nice homes down there though.

There are some newer one story houses with big lots, small lots, almost no lots. There are a few older one story cottages in Eastport.

I think the Methodist church in Pembroke is on 214 just up the road from the intersection of Rt. 1 and 214, I think.

I 'think' all the roads I saw on the msn live map are the rows at the cemetary; using the google map in the walk-around mode puts me right next to the cemetary

THANKS!!!

Between High and Capen Ave is the "old" cemetary. Some of the graves are from the 1700s and a few are British soldiers who died here during the occupation in 1814. And across High St is the "new" cemetary. the graves there go from the 1800s on up to present. Not to be confused with teh "new new" cemetary at Bayside off Clark St.

walking around (with the google map) I notice that the vast majority of homes are older 2 story; older is fine, but are there any single/ ranch style homes. what is the standard lot size? are there homes with bigger lots?

As the others have said, most of the houses are 1.75 story or better. A few capes and bungalows too. That's mostly in town. Intown lots are generally .25 acre average. The newer subdivisions are usually around an acre or two. The vacant lots are all overpriced if you ask me.

can't decided if I want to bring my bus or my boat (I can only pull one) - both are useless in the winter; I know it sounds as a dumb question, ok it is, but ya'll know the region better - I love to fish but I like crusing too - just worried someone in a pickup will take a potshot at me with a shotgun
