If I ever won the lottery, I'd buy a house on the road to Seapoint Beach. That beach is my favorite place on earth, I kid you not. I love to take my family (and friendly golden retriever) there year round. I can't keep that dog out of the water no matter what season it is. It will be the first place I go the morning after I fly into Boston to visit family in Eliot.

On behalf of the responsible hunters of Maine - thank you for saying that.
Yes, I do believe a Hunter's Safety course is required, but I'm not 100%sure of that. Anyone else know? I do know that my son will be attending one next month for sure.

If you have no previous permit, you must take a course. Same for Bow.

They come together in crisis.
They help out when they can.
The teachers are great to work with.
The neighbors aren't nosey.
The sunsets are great.
People are friendly.

Did I hear a theme song from an 80's sitcom?
I don't think you want to hear what I like about Ohio.. there are some good points.. what I like about Eastport:
-the water
-the small hometown feel
-the artsy fartsy stuff
-the incredible people
It's early so that's what comes to mind.
Welcome to our newbies and there are a few people moving to Calais soon, Elcarim in about 13 days and casper.. soon as well(can't seem to remember when).

Yep, and Rajen will be seeing both of our hubbies around the hospital. Gotta love a small town!
I love the people of the entire Downeast area. There are some great people around the greater Bangor area, too. Oh, and the folks around the Portland area....hmmmm....you'd really have a hard time finding a "bad place to live" in Maine. You may find a few bad apples, but I'm betting the good neighbors will far outweigh any unpleasant experiences the bad ones may cause. Failing that, there are also plenty of places that are void of people altogether if that's what you require.
It's such a well-rounded place to live!
