Default Yes, finally enough snow

All I can say is Snow WONDERFUL Snow day! 1st one we have had off from school this year (not counting 2 early releases and a late start : )). A great stay in the jammies and make cookies kind of day! I sure missed these "free days" this year-last year we got seven of them!

This is the upside to living in a place where it rains and snows a lot. Some people just don't get it. You get to stay in, dress as comfortably as you want, and snuggle up with a good book or to watch that movie you haven't had time for.
Or dress appropriately and go out and have fun!
Yes, I am one of those people who loves the sound of rain on the roof and walking through the woods after a snowfall. Neither of which I get to do here in the desert. Brace yourself, Maine. Less than three weeks to go.

msina gets the gold star for snowfall.

It's amazing how popular somebody is when he can blow snow about 50 feet and the driveway gets too narrow for a pickup to plow it. Even better when the pickup can't back out because the snow fell in around it. If you are going to plow 2 feet of snow you ought to use chains on all 4 tires.

I noticed that people hire somebody to plow out their driveway, then they have to get out there and clear the snow away from the mailbox. I'm going shopping for a snowblower right after it gets too warm to snow.

By our count, there is at least 30" and its still snowing out. This is one of the largest 24 hour snowfalls I can recall in the last 24 years. Might as well say 3 feet and call it good.

No place to put the stuff. The streets, parking lots and sidewalks are a mess.

NMLM my morning was made when at about 8 this morning I pulled our plow guy out of a drift in our driveway. I wish I had pictures--my TJ Wrangler pulling that one ton! It was priceless!
