Took a few pictures of downtown Saco while it was snowing. Enjoy!

This is a somewhat shielded view of the new train station, the new train station's sign, and the bottom of the windmill.

And a little bonus picture of Biddeford

You take really nice photographs.....the street scenes in the snow are really charming and show Saco to advantage. I like the way the archetect for the train station used the mill clock tower as inspiration for his building....a tie to the history of the town....

By the way I read the article about some of the Biddeford Mill being developed into condos or apartments....not sure which ...... that should be great for the town. New folks, new money and new vision. Thanks for sharing

We went to dinner at the Thai resturant in Saco.....I think its on the street with the police station in your picture. "Yummy Thai".....it was good.

Looking..... Do you go to Thornton Academy or are you a graduate of the Academy? If so what do you think of it? It sure is a beautiful campus. Its hard to imagine the town tuitions all its students there. Maybe next time you can get some photos of the campus plus a few of the library and museum.

I'm currently a student there. The campus is great, and a new addition of dorms is being built right now. I actually meant to get one of the library today but for some reason the camera didn't save it...

If anyone is anywhere near Saco this week....take a drive into Laurel Hills Cemetery....all the way back to the old section near the river.....there are tens of thousands of daffodils in bloom....BEAUTIFUL....they are all naturalized and blooming in profusion.....much like Wordsworth described in his poem. Daffodils - a poem by William Wordsworth

I've always enjoyed going to see those flowers. It is so beautiful and tranquil. Sad though, being in a cemetary.

Its really on the back edge of the cemetery....where the flowers are is the bank and woods down to the river......BUT....I have always found cemeteries to be beautiful places and I really like them... I do like that the flowers are naturalized and not in a garden.
