Islander( Maine) movie
Anyone see this movie yet?
I finally snagged it on blockbuster.com. Filmed entirely in Rockland and on Vinalhaven.
Well worth a look- beautiful scenery, good, solid story and wonderful music.  |

Thanks Moughie! I was trying to remember the name of this film the other day............I hope netflix will have it as well  I saw the trailer, it looks to be a good movie. |

Yes I got it from netflix, so they have it. What a good movie, Makes Maine shine, great shots on the water, coastline abd music was wonderful. I am going to buy it but no one stocks it. Two week backorder. But worth it. The lead is from Maine and he worked hard to get it filmed and he wanted it done right. My 14 year old daughter even enjoyed it. |

I just saw a copy of "The Mist" at the store, and started to get it. But was it filmed in Maine?

According to Google it appears that "The Mist" was filmed in Shreveport, Louisiana..... "Islander" sounds interesting seeing I spent a few years roaming Vinalhaven, Rockland, Owlshead, Thomaston, Spruce Head, St. George, Port Clyde, Tenants Harbor. All these neat little towns clustered together. What a treasure. Gotta get back there this summer. Preferably Lobster Festival time.
