I was so excited about your move that I couldn't type
I hope your home sells quickly. I know what a pain it is keeping it clean and orderly, especially with 2 kids, 2 dogs and a cat.

I reserved the moving truck today! I wasn't really planning on doing that yet, but Penske offers a no-obligation, flex reservation. Since we don't know the exact date of our move yet, we can change the dates for the truck rental anytime. The price is locked in, unless rates go down. Then we'll pay less too. With all the discounts, we got a 26 foot truck and car carrier for $650. I think that's extremely reasonable. U-Haul's rates were quite a bit more. The only negative with Penske is that there aren't a lot of drop-off locations in Maine. From Rockland, the nearest one is in Topsham, which looks like is more than an hour away. That's okay though. It's worth it to save an extra $300 over U-Haul. (Yayyy! This is really happening! Now that we have the truck it's really sinking in. We couldn't be more excited and happy about this move...can you tell?!? )

There's a Penske dropoff in Bangor, actually Herman that we used a couple of years ago when we rented a Penske truck to move some furniture to Eastport.
