This one used to be a blast to go watch from the banks of the Kennebec. What a hoot!

So bring the kids down and go! It's not far from Bangor, and I know we'll be there!

I think we will. Brad is off, and it would make a nice day trip. Maybe I can drag Molly & her crew along with us! There should be a lot of caches between here and there.

Default I'll be there.

Running C-1 experienced, unless my daughter changes her mind and decides to paddle with me.

Best site for viewing thrills and spills is along the gorge on Valley Ave. Of course 6-mile falls is the classic arena for spectators.

Watching the changing forecasts. Last was for hi of 38. Could use some sun.

Enjoy!

You really should! It's a blast to watch - especially around the Bangor/Glenburn line at "Six Mile Falls" - that's where they lose a lot of them.

Some of the "watercrafts" (and I use that term loosely)that come down are a stitch too. There's one guy who comes down standing up every year as well.

Default yep

Gumby stills runs the race.

My favorite Gumby T-shirt was "Clinton Knows Whitewater".

Revi is on a distinguished road
I have run the Kenduskeag three times. It's always a blast. I have only swum once, but it was memorable.

The crowd is amazing, because you go through 10 miles of flatwater with almost nobody around and then the last 6 miles the banks are packed with spectators.

That's when you are most concentrated on not flipping, so you barely notice them.

At the end you go under the bridges in downtown Bangor.
