Horsewizard & RMoore (and everyone else),

We just got back from Maine and I have to admit, we're sold on it. We went from Houlton, to Dexter to Owl's Head (and everywhere inbetween - 2,200 miles on the rental in a week). We went right through Frankfort and Dexter - loved them both (and nearly hit a moose on route 11 working our way North towards Houlton - pics on the ol' facebook page - just look up Henry Snider in Colorado). The icing on the cake - Newark was fogged in and we were able to stay an extra day since we were sure to miss our connecting flight.

There's only one BIG problem this trip has caused . . . I have a 25 month countdown to move and the Mrs. has a 14 if she gets her way (which she usually does - she's meaner than me, what can I say).

We're already planning the next trip for somewhere between November and January.

The help from everyone in this group has been fantastic! We knew where to go (and not go) thanks to all of you.

Glad we're used to snow already. With the changing weather patterns we've been having to drive a couple of hundred miles just to get good snow (more than a foot) the last three years.

Best to all!

Henry

Just curious as to where you had lobster, and how it was? Glad you liked Maine in June - Nov. - March is a very different story. Did you manage to check out Newport? The have a good High School with an excellent music program.
