Default Celtics start their summer....early

It was bound to happen! Too many injuries and not enough depth on the bench. Maine's favorite pro basketball team will start an early summer this year thanks to a seventh game loss lastnight in Boston to the Orlando Majic. It wasn't even close... 101-82. Have a nice summer Boston! Wait 'till next year!

eh, I'm glad they went out last night. The extra week or so of rest they'll get this off-season can do some good. Let's face it... the Cavs are unstoppable and there's no way the Celtics made it through the next round even if the won last night. They got to where they did running on fumes, heart and passion and for that I'm happy. I'd rather see them go out fighting in a seven game series in the Eastern Conference Semis than get blown out in 4 or 5 by Cleveland (who wanted Boston BADLY and smelled blood in the water). Not letting Lebron and the Cavs beat up on a depleted Celtics team for four games (five if the Celts were lucky) is a small victory in and of itself. It was a great season anyway and I'm hardly disappointed. I don't think anyone should have expected more from this team.

Now the Bruins on the other hand...

Agreed with Maineah that it was bound to happen. Injuries, including KG out completely, made a second consecutive championship a no-chance proposition. Therefore, I also agree with LR. Just as well not to drag it out any longer, and it was good to see them play with heart and get as far as they did.
