Heading to Harmony for late June, what's the best place in this regfion for Lobsters and steamers. I thought I remember seeing a lobster farm along the way, but can't find it online.

Most Maine restaurants have lobster in the summer in some form. Harmony is too far from the coast to have any designated lobster places. Kind of like going to Greenville for lobster. You can get them but you'll pay for them. Your best bet is to buy the lobsters and clams along the way somewhere and cook them where you're staying. If you can boil water and melt butter you have more than enough cooking skills to cook lobsters and clams. I have no idea what a lobster farm is.

almost all grocery stores (Hannaford,Shaws, even Walmart) have them. There are several roadside vendors usually along Route 2 at the ripps in Skowhegan also. In Newport there is a seafood truck at the intersection on weekends, and a seafood store on Route 7 just as you enter Corinna. As for resteraunts Carriers in Skowhegan is good and Anglers in East Newport is great. The going price today is about $5.99 /lb for 1 1/8 lobstahs. Clams are running about $3.00 a lb. Harmony is right in my back yard. are you up for the HARMONY FAIR? Route 2 is one of the states permanent construction sights. (beware) Sorry the fair is always Labor Day Weekend

That price is typical of truck vendors and seafood stores inland. Places in Portland are down to $3.99 for lobsters already.

Thanks everyone. I didn't realize that C&R had a lobster tank. I'm going to a buddy's cabin on Wellington Street in Harmony for a few days.

I just had a quadruple order of steamers from a local restaurant. It was like a cardboard beer case mounded over about a foot high. The owner takes care of me. Mmmmmm....
