Default Mustard

That's some great mustard.

I haven't been there for a while (I don't even know if it's still open - Forest would probably know) but anyway, I used to pick up a lot of the Maine-made stuff (cheeses, jams, etc.) from Dawn Til Done in Milford.

Hog's head cheese (if you can look past how it's traditionally made - ) is delicious.

It's closed. The former owner is a regular contributor to Maine Nature News and we've gotten to be friends. I went to a wild foraging workshop with him last month. He sold Dawn Til Done several years ago when he was ready to retire. The new owner ran it into the ground. It no longer exists. Bill still plants pumpkins and a few other things. You can't pluck farming from a wonderful farmer.

That's too bad. It was a great place to get things you couldn't find anywhere else.

I think the bridge renovations caused a lot of the issues with Dawn til done, the construction made his parking lot inaccesable.

I have to admit Raye's Mustard is always on the St. Patrick's Day table with the corned beef and cabbage!
