Does anyone have a recipe for these?
I suspect corn meal would stick or maybe that fried clam recipe.

those seed packs are almost 3 inch wide so I suspect these are keepers and the packs are one of the few things they won't eat
HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Best way is to take a pie plate, dig a small impression in the soil so the rim of the plate is level. Fill the pie plate with beer. Next day fish out the slugs, roll them in flour for a beer battered "something". The part about the pie plate and beer is true. It attracts the slugs...don't let PETA know about it because the can't swim...but it rids your garden of them. Google "slugs and beer" if you don't believe me.

Saute in butter and garlic, top with basil before serving. Enjoy with a bottle of white wine.

That would be a bottle of wine for each person...right?

I've done the tuna can full of beer (I draw the line at batter-dipped slugs 'tho). It worked for me in the past. Hey, maybe PETA will consider them "sedated" before they drown.

Kidding! Don't burn me at the stake. It is better than pesticides to me anyway.

Default alcohol abuse...

ok, that's not good! But only because today I happened in passing to admire the corn dogs in the freezer section at the grocery store.

I went on a slug hunt a couple of summers ago; probably, I became a little too involved. I started out by using the least expensive beer available, so as not to be entirely wasteful. It worked. Then one evening, I noticed I was out of the not so good stuff. So I used a little bit of a microbrew instead. The stinky brew sudsed way more slugs than the watery beer had. Slugs prefer a heady beer.

My test results determined that slug abuse correlates with what some might deem alcohol abuse...

Thanks for the fun!

Another slug factoid: Do not believe any nine or ten year old's if they tell you you will get shocked (electrically) by licking a slug.

It's a shock alright, but there's no voltage involved...

Yes, I kissed a slug.
