i live on a lake,,,and the water came to my walk out sliding glass door in the basement,,,it only comes up this far,,,,in very severe flooding conditions,
i bought a back up generator,,,barricaded the basement door,,
my saving grace, is that we didnt lose power,,or water would come up thru the sump pump hole.(thats why i bought a generator)
with the water ,,against most of my house,,yes i did have water seeping in,,but ,,it could have been worse!!
flooding around this area,,,,,and road wash-outs,,were pretty bad,,,,,the wind toppled many trees across roads, and again,,it could have been worse!
thank god,,it didnt rain today,,,,gave a chance for the water to recede..

Either that or give you breast cancer. Or both. What do you think, Forest Beekeeper?

2 days with no power and my road flooded. Also one of the roofs at my college decided to fail. The building is is 30 feet from the ocean and they give it a flat roof. The wind ripped up the rubber matting and all the water went into the building destroying computers, chairs and carpets.
I question this college sometimes...

Could be.
Not all females have a lot of estrogen in their systems.
And not all females can take any more estrogen.
My DW has a lot of both breast cancers and cervix cancers in her recent family ancestry; so her doctor is strongly against any HRT, even though her estrogen levels are very low.

Also increased estrogens in the food of our society, have been linked to both: increasing male sterility, and to earlier/younger female puberty.

These aren't from Maine, but down the beach a bit from where my sister's house in Fire Island is...luckily they only lost another swing set (third one in three years)...so they are fine. But seeing what living beachfront can do...I think I'll take the mountains..phew!
