4th of July plans?
So what's everyone up to on the 4th? We get to spend our first 4th of July in Maine watching the Camden fireworks on July 3rd at Harbor Park. (Don't know why fireworks aren't on the actual 4th, especially with it being on a Saturday...) I'm sure it'll be beautiful!

If the rain continues, it'll be a quiet night at home.

Brother is up from downsouth. Rest of the families had other plans becuz of the economy. I'll take few days and roam around town and hang out. No Navy ship but the USCG is sending a cutter from Portland. Really slim crowd here this year and almost no one in town. Gonna be a small 4th this year. Epecially without a missle cruiser. From acrew of 300+ to 16. Always next year I guess.

We're having a neighborhood cookout at a spot where we can see the fireworks from the next town. Oh, wait, that WAS the plan until we found out that for some &%# reason the town is having the fireworks on Sunday night. So now the cookout is on Sunday. I guess on the 4th we'll be working in the garden and, in the evening, listening to our pyromaniac neighbor down the road shoot off his fireworks like he did last night.

We'll be having some friends over for a cook out after the parade in Eastport. Hope it's bright and sunny that day.
