Default Belfast Area

Anyone have any suggestions for any nice beach areas, state park beaches and any places to maybe surf fish along the coast down the Belfast area or in the general vicinity of?

We enjoyed Popham Beach but are looking for some good spots further up.

zwoman2u is on a distinguished road
you can fish off a boat float at bayside dock (about 3 mi south of belfast off rt 1) after 5 pm i believe-stripers when running and mackrell, ducktrap has some decent fishing-lincolnville/northport line, rent a boat and go ocean fishing in the bay. there is a park in swanville with swimming and picnic sites, lake st. george (west on rt 3 in liberty) has swimming, camping and picnic sites also boat ramps. go to the breakwater in rockport/rockland-awsome fishing there.

up the road from belfast, searsport has a public dock to fish from

yrs ago, down by fort popham was a hotspot, cast out a chunk of mackerel, and let it set on the bottom, good for blues or stripers, two hours before high tide.
