One of my first posts here was in answer to a question about whether newcomers are welcome. My reply was that Maine needs people. You will be welcome. We want you to succeed and will help and encourage your success. It's like the old frontier where downs actually recruited people. That had never heard the term "critical; mass", but people instinctively know that below a certain number of families there is effectively no community. We struggle against those who have that as a goal.
I'm too busy for a rural cleansing rant this morning.
