Default American Folk Festival

The American Folk Festival got off to a great start here in Bangor last night. The rain today will most likely put a damper on the attendance today but I hope people will venture out anyway. It would be a great day to browse the craft tents and the larger stages will have seating under tents as well. We live close enough that we could hear the music - in the background - last night. I guess we should have gone last night. If it isn't actually blowing today we will go for a while - perhaps for lunch. And for sure will go back Sunday when the rain is over.

We've been to it a couple times and lovesd it. One year I think we caught some rain. Thinned the crowd a bit but not badly. Then again, that may have been MOFGA. I hate my memory (or the lack thereof). All the places tend to meld. Wish we could go to Bangor this year. It's a great time rain or shine.

We went last year, had a really good time. Had planned to go this year, but I took a fall last week at work, ended up with a vertebral compression fracture, so I'm not doing much of anything. You all have fun!

My sister went last night and seemed to have a good time. I didn't leave work until 7p. Since I work downtown, everyone took the parking spaces 'around' my car, but I managed to get out.

I hope the rain blows through and they have a good turnout. It's a lot of fun for those who go but also it's great for the local economy,.

I miss it! We lived in Bangor for a couple of years, and went when it was the National Folk Festival, too.
