Very similar to a goat. I have never personally dressed a goat but the actions are similar. It is a nasty job no matter how strong your stomach is for that type of thing. The natural reaction to something nasty like thet is to do it fast and get it over with but that is the exact opposite of how it should be handled. Take your time,take a break do it slowly and completely and you will have some fine venison....or goat....or what ever critter you're dressing. Poultry is a different matter.

I know of a place you can get venison year round, but farm raised.

is it one of those farms in texas? the idea is the get cheap or free meat.

Actually it's a farm right here in Maine, but it would be considered advertising if I informed you of it since it is family who own the farm.
Meat there is very good without the wild taste of wild deer
