Being "impartial" is not necessarily a bad thing.

The only pants they had that would fit me were the felt cargo pants. It is good to stock-up on stuff that works good.
If anyone is looking for warm wool pants, I recommend looking in Brewer.

Thank you! The DS will be hunting this year and needs some wool pants. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that keeps one as warm as wool IMHO.

I agree.
Though I do find it odd that wool clothing is not the norm in Maine.

Reny's in Belfast and Saco has some beautiful wool ( woolrich) heavy shirts in multiple colors. Grab 'em while you can!

Historically, it always was the norm. IMHO, as the trend to move from the outside to inside seems to go... , along with current trends in fashion... ...they aren't what they once were among Maine sportspeople.
That said however, it doesn't mean they're any worse than high-falootin' trendy-sort of outerwear worn by today's fashionable sportspeople. ...
Personally, I still think they "breathe" much better than, say, the average "outdoor" pants that are made of recycled plastic bottles.
And yes, I bought a pair of shorts last summer that I discovered after I came home were made of recycled plastic bottles.
Oh and BTW, they fell apart in short order.

NOW you tell me! (just got back from the weekly trip to Bangor... coulda hopped over the river, had I known. I'll put it on the next week list, but will not be holding my breath, as it seems once word gets out, warm wool gear, especially at good prices, seems to evaporate quickly.
