ahhh! Sell my Klunker!

My Mom keeps telling us we need to sell that old car and buy something newer....I told her that I don't think so. Right now, we are fighting a front seal on the transmission....but other than that little thing....she is a great car!

Some people don't embrace their wheels like they should.

But thanks for saying that....smacks a silly grin on my face! They are such great cars for sure.....just going to be different not seeing that Antique Plate on her rear end!

I'd sell that car before driving it into the certain doom of "The Rust Belt"
Acadianlion is right , no car has much of a chance up here. My 1997 Ford F-150 4x4 literally rusted to nothing in 8 years. The frame had rusted through by then and I was forced to junk it. In the 8 years I had owned it I had but over $4,000 in rust related parts into it trying to keep it on the road. The truck only had 80,000 miles on it when it went to the junk yard.
If you can do it , the best way to own a car here is to either drive an old one you could care less about or buy new and trade for a new one every three years.

It will do fine. Just don't drive close to the shore during a storm. By close to the shore, I mean so the salt spray is driven onto the car.

That works pretty well. I know people who do that then drive down a dusty road to seal it up! My Ford had some kind of electrolysis going on. The undercoat peeled off the frame after one year and Ford refused to do anything about it. I pulled off the body and tried to rustproof it myself but it all peeled off again. Just a bad year for Fords.
