Default Unhealthul Air Warning When In OOB

When we were on vacation in Old Orchard Beach/Portland in mid-August, I remember seeing warnings on the news for unhealthful air quality related to high ozone levels. How common is that for this area?

I live in Southern California and during the 70's and 80's, bad air or "smog days" were fairly common in the summer months. It is somewhat of a rare occurrence in So Cal these days. I would never of imagined bad air days in coastal Maine.

Marc - Hoping to Return to Maine Soon

Looks good for the near future!

Air quality warnings are rare here and probably due to the fact that given our mountains and the fact we are the eastern most state, we are the dumping grounds for air particulates from fossil fuel plants in the mid west.
