If you get a chance to stop by LL Bean to see that display it's quite impressive.
Bean's made some locals and tourists unhappy when they took the display to the Fryeburg fair this fall.
They sent out a flyer telling people all about the display only to ship it off to the fair a week later. Many people made the drive to Freeport to see it only to find a graphic poster on the wall instead. They caught a lot of flack for that move.

Great story! I was just at the hunting section of LL Bean a couple of weeks ago and must have missed the display.

It's not in the hunting section. It's on the Main street side near the original main entrance behind where Ben and Jerrys little building is. I believe the section is the camping section.

The State house used to have a similar display (heads only, I think). Does anyone know if that one is still around?
