Default Any recommendations for Bar Harbor lodging?

Hello!

I am SO excited because we've decided to visit Maine this year after all ! We just couldn't wait any longer. Even though we're moving to Maine next year, we couldn't wait to at least visit again. Since we haven't had a chance to explore Acadia, we've decided to spend most of our time there. I've read the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce guide. There is an incredible amount of lodging available. Can anyone recommend a kid-friendly, clean, reasonably-priced motel or cottage? I've called quite a few of the one's advertised. Since there are so many, it would really help if you good folks on this forum could help me narrow down my search. (We're looking to spend no more than $100/night. There are several in that price range, but I'd feel more comfortable making a reservation if I had some first-hand info.)
Thanks so much!

The best advice is if you are going to make reservations do it quickly One place I have aways heard about is the white birches motel in hancock. Not exactly in Bah Hahabah but close enough and a whole lot cheaper.they used to have a really good buffet not sure if they still do

Thanks everyone ! We decided to stay at the Acadia Pines Motel. It's about 4 miles from downtown Bar Harbor and it's on the Island Explorer bus route. Got a pretty good rate, $95/ night for a kitchenette room. (There's also a heated pool, which makes the young 'uns happy!) Hopefully it's a nice place!
