Amen to NASTY. As much as I love soda, I would give it up if Moxie was the only soda available. Everyone told me that you have to drink it for a bit to errr....acquire the taste....I tried, but I couldn't....

I can't believe there is this much hatin' on the moxie among mainers.

I think it may be one of those things you had to drink as a kid in order have a taste for.

Possibly, although personally I don't know any Mainer's that like it and none that will drink it. Even people that attend the Moxie Festival in Lisbon Falls every year, don't drink much of it other than just a sip to try it. I think it's more of touristy thing to give it a little sip and then toss it.

I grew to like Moxie. It is much sweeter now than it used to be.
