Sillys in Portland ( 40 Washington Ave) is delicious! Their Fast Abdullahs, jerk-chicken, home- made fries and homemade lemonade are quite tasty!
Check out their outdoor back patio dining area with beautiful gardens.

The Boiler Room in Wilton. Originally the boiler room of the old Bass Shoe Factory, it has good food, exceptional service, and a wonderful outdoor deck overlooking Wilson Stream. A favorite with both locals and tourists. We also like the Fortune Fountain next to Wal-Mart. Mostly American-Chinese, but the owners are all from China and very accommodating. For good, old-fashioned homestyle Maine food, the Log Cabin, just north of Farmington can't be beat. Their breakfasts are great.

In Arundel, the seafood center is great. It is reasonably priced for seafood, not fancy, you have to pick up your food at the counter. In Wells, The Steakhouse is great. It is a little more expensive, a place we go once or twice a year, but we have been eating there for years and the food is consistently good. You have to go when it opens or risk waiting an hour or more to get in.

Mexican- Southerly bound side of Route One...somewhere between Machias and Bath there's a log building (fairly new, well, last 10 years or so, anyway) with a couple of other businesses in it...on the left end is a Mexican place. I can't remember the name but it was surprisingly good, Mexican and Honduran/Guatemalan, pretty authentic. If the sauces on the table aren't hot enough for you, ask for their private stock.
There's a pretty good Mexican place in Brunswick too, on the other side of the street from the noisy roadhouse (next to the Miss Brunswick diner).
The Blue Moose, just north of Houlton isn't bad, but it didn't seem to be anything special either.
The Irish Setter in Presque Isle is pretty good.
Slopes in PI, the one time I went there the service was abyssmal, and I'm usually pretty laid back about that sort of thing.
Ruby Tuesday's, also in PI- didn't have the top shelf steak advertised, and what they *did* have came waaay overdone.
The restaurant in downtown Caribou wasn't great, the one at the Caribou Inn was pretty good.
Helen's in Machias is Decent, and so is the diner in Mars Hill.
Rt. 2A in Linneus, theres a good one whose name I can't remember, and another good one on the southerly side of Lincoln whose name I can't remember either (anybody see a trend here?).

Best Italian Restaurant in New England is Anjon's on Rt 1 in Scarborough, and six different sauces can be ordered on line...excellent fare.

In Steuben it has to be The Country Charm they have the best food for a reasonable price and plenty of it. The folks there are great too as most of the locals just walk in pour their own coffee and set down to order what they want from one of the gals that work there.
