That's great, Submariner!

And great for Matthew too. He knew what he wanted and didn't give up. I wish him well.

He and his wife are stationed at Fort Campbell Kentucky, loving life. We visited them for Thanksgiving.

How much longer is this Winter going to last?

I don't think I am 'up' to the task of setting maple taps yet.

This morning is bright and sunny

It may get up to 16F today, at least it is a positive 16F.

Does anyone have any ideas about how a woman's dead body can land inside a locked trunk of a car, without 'foul play'?

"... Investigators report no signs of foul play,..."

Woman's Body Found in Trunk Of Car

My condolences extend to the family of Jenna French, 30, of Pittsfield.

My Dw and I keep waiting to hear some follow-up to this incident, maybe some explanation.

Well, yes, but they're all unlikely.

https://www.centralmaine.com/2018/04...ed-of-suicide/

Quote:
... A woman whose body was found locked in her own car trunk committed suicide and died from a drug overdose, Maine state police said Friday.

The state Medical Examiner’s Office said 30-year-old Jenna French died from acute intoxication of Oxycontin and Hydroxyzine.

French’s death is not considered suspicious.

According to investigators, French’s car was found abandoned in the Palmyra Walmart parking lot March 2 and was towed to the Varney Chevrolet dealership to be unlocked because relatives did not have a key.

Her body was discovered by dealership employees who then called police.

Detectives believe French crawled into the trunk from the passenger compartment and then pulled the rear seats upright. Next to her police found a bottle of pills and an iced coffee.
They seem to think that she crawled through the backseat into the trunk with her ice coffee and bottle of pills. I do not think of car trunks as being a warm location. But death was not from exposure.
