Great video of the perfect Maine vehicle:

For the tractor lovers amongst us.

No kidding around, though: Looks like it could float or be easily redesigned to float should it break through ice. Could be a valuable design for search and rescue work even today.

That is Wicked Cool!! I wonder why it didn't catch on? Too threatening to the powers that be? I'd love to have one! Seems the tacking is a lot more enviro- friendly than atvs or conventional snow machines.

That is just too cool! That would be a good thing to have around. Wonder what a Mustang w/351 Cleavland or Windsor would do with it?

What a WAYYY wicked machine!!! Why did not they want to mass produce it? It seems like it could even handle loads, as that was my thought when halfway through the video, it was only just driving around on a good pack of snow... How does it work under a load? Would it change the dynamics? But, NOPE, it worked... BTW, when seeing the hoss bogged in the snow... Hmmm, break my head-strong 3 yo filly that stands 17.2, at present??? Good thoughts and good ingenuity...Thanks for the video, and who made that wicked good machine???

I looked this thing up. I think the reason it wasn't mass produced was it came out around 1924/26.

Not many motorized cars/tractors then and transportation would have been a severe "female dog". Would be cool to own one of those.

It occurs to me, that not only might it be easy to design such a vehicle to float, should it break through a frozen lake . . .

But I bet something like it would be great for running around on during mud season.

And to go along with your tractor
YouTube - Snow Motor - 1924, how about this 4WD car? . . .
YouTube - 1917X

(More proof the Model T was the best car ever made! It even cost less to make and to buy every year, as things should!)
