Default Accuracy of list?

You are welcome. I am a bit uncertain as to the complete accuracy of the list, however. For example, I can't find Bath Iron Works on it and I think they would qualify. I'm hoping maybe other more knowledgeable readers can offer constructive comments.

I was wondering that too. Not too long ago, someone on this forum posted another list, which I believe had Bath Iron Works in the top 5. I also didn't see Hannaford on your list. I'm pretty sure that was in the other post too.

Actually, I think the list is more of a "rough approximation" than anything, even though I believe I was told somewhere along that the data source was the U.S. Dept. of Labor. It does give an overall impression of a dimension of Maine's economy, but I'd recommend double checking with another reputable source before I made any major decisions based solely upon this listing. Maybe I shouldn't even have posted it. It does serve to remind, I'm afraid, that you can't always believe everything you read, even from the U.S. Govmint, which I'm sure will prompt all of our left-wingers to just say, "Duh!".

I think this list is totally inaccurate.

Default Inaccurate

They've listed two divisions of IDEXX Laboratories separate from the "mother ship". My husband works at IDEXX Distribution, which is in Memphis, TN - not Maine. It is a division of the parent company in Westbrook. There are about 2,400 employees in Maine - with many more to be added soon.

Maine's economy would appear to consist mainly of hospitals.
