Diva Mommy: I am a concerned parent also Forestville would not be a wise choice to build a dream home. My professional opinion NO WAY. Sure the land is cheap but schools in Prince George's County are depressing. The most important factor to consider crime.

PG and especially Foresthell has no place to eat no decent shopping and even the doctors have moved most of their offices

Education and safety - Crofton. That's worth more than the commute distance, which I cannot say what the commute is like in rush hour from there.

Yup ,and everywhere you go now there is crime.There are also some problems at the National Harbor Place.I know of one hotel having a hard time getting emplyees.

I lived and worked in Forestville for several years. My wife grew up in District Heights (next to Forestville). Stay away from Forestville. Waldorf is too crowded, Rt 5/301 super-slab sprawl. I think the Crofton area would be your best bet.
