You probably won't find too many people from Crisfield on these boards but I was born and raised in Crisfield and just happened to catch your post. I'm not sure exactly what kind of things you would like in a town but Crisfield is an interesting place. First of all, there's not really much to do there. However, if you are looking for a place with a more 'down home' kind of feel which is very community oriented, this could be the place for you. If you get involved in the community, you will get to know everyone and everyone will get to know you. There are several big festivals in Crisfield a year which are very unique and usually seafood based. These festivals bring out the best in the community, so many people work together to make them work and are extremely proud of these events. The town is also right on the water which is great especially if you purchase a boat. Even if you don't, there are some great views over the water at the city dock. There is a pretty large marina for such a small town that holds about 450 boats. I worked there for a while, I could tell you a lot more about it if you needed. So basically, there isn't much to do, but if you get involved in the community you will find yourself surrounded by very good friends.

I am also relocating to the Crisfield MD area - I haven't found much online as far as rental listings - any suggestions. Also are there certain places/areas you would recommend? I have read all about the Crab Derby and can't wait to experience it for the first time.

My husband (who is from Crisfield) and I (I attended the local high school for a year, as well as coming in for the summers and holidays) just visited family there. As was mentioned, there is not much to do in Crisfield, but Salisbury has a nice zoo and movies. You will have to travel to either Salisbury or Pocomoke City to do any clothes shopping (beyond a Family Dollar) and heavy duty food shopping (ie food clubs). But the quiet and small town friendliness goes a long way in making up for the things Crisfield doesn't have. There are many churches to choose from and there are the Elks and VFW. There is a Subway and Curves there, as well as a McDonalds. Circle Inn (restaurant) has really good crab cakes. Hope you enjoy your relocation.
