Moving to somewhere in the Rockville/north Beltway area soon. We are flying into BWI next week to look at housing, but I am wondering- Which airport is an easier in / out? Easier drive? Less travel time?
Do you have a preference and if so, why? Or you base your choice strictly on the airfare &/or your destination or choice of airline?

Thanks Again!

Dulles is probably marginally closer and easier to get to, but not enough to make much difference. BWI usually has the cheaper flights since it is a big Southwest hub.

I personally think Regan is the easiest to get in/out of given its location and parking as a traveler. However, its often also the most expensive to fly. Between Dulles/BWI - it'll really depends on the flight choices and price. BWI is often cheaper, but unless you are flying SWA, the flights are not as numerous as IAD.

In terms of distance - Dulles is a bit closer to Rockville/Bethesda. But depending on when you leave/return, the traffic may also be worse. American Legion is often a choke-point between MD/VA. With BWI, you do have alt. route options.
