Hello Marylanders,
I was hoping for some help. I received a $52 parking ticket in downtown Baltimore for parking in a zone where there was going to be street cleaning from 11am-2pm that day. I honestly did not see the sign that was posted over 100feet away. Does anyone know how close these signs need to be posted in order to hold up in court? It does not indicate any distance on the sign. If anyone knows the answer to this question or can point me to where I might be able to find such information on parking sign regulations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Is there a phone number on the ticket? Maybe you could call the number on the ticket. I don't know how helpful they will be, but it might be worth a try.

I got a similar ticket in Baltimore City last year. You can write an explanation and mail in your appeal. It did me no good but maybe it will work for you?

The sign I was supposed to read was completely overtaken by a tree's branches.

Does anyone know how how far away you are supposed to park away from a "No Parking" sign that has arrows in both directions. One space for the parking spot on the left and three to the right. I've been trying to look this information up and can't find an answer. You would think that it would be available.

I always thought the arrows meant until another sign marked where the arrow ends or until the end of the block. I doubt that there is a set distance. Anyone know for sure?
