I definitely wouldn't live in a complex called Tall Oaks in Laurel. I've delivered mail there and it definitely doesn't feel safe. In an addition to GirlNextDoor's post about Camden Russett, someone broke into almost all the mail boxes there about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I have no idea if they caught the thief. The apartment complex at Orion Circle, I forget what it's called looks very safe but, I've heard it's pricey.

Out of the Russett area, there is a new development on Route 1 called Ashbury Courts. It looks nice. I know it isn't full yet though some people have moved into it. It is within walking distance of Main Street Laurel and the train station.

I wouldn't recommend the apartments on 8th street and Maryland 198. A friend of mine lives there and they don't appear safe.

The new ones across from Laurel Mall look nice. I have no idea what they cost though. They are convenient to shops in the Mall and to restaurants on the other side of Cherry Lane such as Olive Garden and Ruby Tuesday (I think). There is also a strip mall further down from there with a Best Buy, Lowes and Safeway.
