Question How is Pasadena, MD??

There is a chance that I may be relocating to teach in Pasadena, MD. I have read some posts which say it's a great, safe "hometown" in which to live, and others that say it's unsafe and not so nice.

Is Pasadena an okay place for a single gal or would I be better off in Glen Burnie or another town within 10/15 miles away? What places in Pasadena are "not so good/safe"? And which are good?

I'll take any info/advice I can get. Thanks so much!

Pasadena has some sketchy areas, but it also has some nice areas. I really am not familiar on which are good and bad. I would definitely live in Pasadena over Glen Burniethough. Glen Burnie has been going down hill for awhile now(murders, drugs, theft, etc). Being a single gal you might enjoy living in Annapolis, the downtown pubs and bars are always packed and you would be within 30 minutes of Baltimore and DC. Annapolis is only a 10 minute drive from Pasadena.Best of luck to you.

I teach in Pasadena. Where is your job in Pasadena? You might not want to be in the exact neighborhood where you teach. Just let me know more details.

Default I like Pasadena

Pasadena is pretty neat place to live if get far enough away from Glenn Burnie. People pretty friendly etc. away from Glenn Burnie. Down in the Lake Shore area is pretty good place. Downs Park is good for recreation.

I do not worry much about the crime in the area where I live.

Default Annapolis to Pasadena

I live in West Annapolis and work in Pasadena very close to the water. The commute is about 30 min with heavy traffic along ritchie highway. I would say most of pasadena is very safe and nice. Itd rather rural the closer you get to the bay. I would definitly not live in Glen Burnie. I looked there for an apartment recently and there are way too many sketchy areas. I would say live in or around Annapolis.

PS.Im a teacher too.
