Okay, we are native Texans. Husband is relocating to Pax River NAS. We have two small children ages 1 and 4. Our oldest will be starting school there, so the best schools closest to Pax is a MUST!!!! Where should we go? My husband will be working alot, so long commute is not a possiblity. Seen alot on Calvert Co, is this close to Pax? Or should we stay within St. Mary's Co? Any advice would be so helpful.

Thank you.

I think you would prefer St marys county because If you lived in Calvert your husband would be crossing the thomas jhonson bridge that gets congested rather quickly mostly because its only 2 lanes but there going to build another span shortly and rush hour in calvert gets the main road jammed up since almost everyone works in washington wich isnt that far away. St marys has minimal traffic but if you move there your sort of out there most parts of the county are still rural. but it still has some nice shopping. If you have any questions on Calvert I can answer those to

Thank you for your reply. Where in St. Mary's? I've heard a little bit on Leonardtown, and not so great things about Lexington Park. Just would like a very family oriented place. The Co. will send us out there in a visit, but we would not know where to begin.

Thank you
