Default Laurel to College Park in rush hour

I posted earlier asking for areas in Laurel for college students (thankyou to all who replied). Now I'm wondering how long it might take to commute to College Park to make a 9:00am class? Any faster back roads to take?

Worse case scenario, 45 minutes. Most of the morning rush hour traffic will have died down by 8am. You could either take Rt 1 South (many lights) or hop on the BWI Parkway. These two routes are the easiest and most direct way to College Park. An alternate would be to take 95 South. Without traffic, you could make it to College Park within 30 minutes.

Default parking

Don't forget to add 10-15 minutes for walking from the parking lot the classroom. If I remember, the classroom buildings were always uphill from the parking lot.

There is a bike trail part way to CP. There is another section underway. Eventually it will extend from Old Gunpowder rd(N of Fairland) to UMD. There's a section under study now to go from Selman rd to Cherry hill rd. The fastest way to CP is to park on Cherry Hill Rd(w/ bike)at the end of the current trail(small parking lot near Home Depot). Take the trail south to campus. Charlie
