Currently iam renting in Ellicott City. Looking to buy a Town Home.

In Ellicott City and Columbia, the town homes are costly and old too.

Now i recently looked at a town home in North Laurel, 20723 (very close to 216 & 29). It is relatively new (around 7 yrs old) and still in Howard County.

I don't have any idea on North Laurel. Is it safe to stay with Kids at that area.

Is North Laurel worth comparing with Ellicott City. I don't want to feel sorry after buying in North Laurel.

Depending on your commute, I would suggest looking in the other direction. Go up to Carroll County in the Sykesville/Eldersburg area. Though I don't know your price range, I can definitely say the area is cheaper (in price & taxes) than Howard County, but the schools are still outstanding and the quality of life is great.

I live in North Laurel. As long as you live further away from route 1, you're safe. Actually, the crime rate in North Laurel is pretty low. Schools are very good. After all, they're Howard county schools! You can view the school ratings on greatschools.org.
Good luck.
