I live in Oak Forest - the "best" area in Catonsville. Petty crime is on the rise here - lots of car break ins.
We had to start a neighborhood watch. Also, as cute as the downtown catonsville is, notice the homeless people. There is a shelter in Spring Grove and they are forced to leave during the day. They tend to congregate at the Library (nice). We have a methadone clinic in the heart of Catonsville as well as a Dept. of Social Services. Our elected officials are doing all they can to bring Catonsville down = so be VERY careful buying in this area.
